  frizzy and distorted.

  Children ease by the hundred into Sunday school

  rooms. Outside, overhead, hang

  blimpy voids, with

            cracks and gusts encircling town’s center

 

            as if inclined to

            release folds of rain

            in staccato needles carried by

            sheet of mist.
